Canada Day Volunteer Registration

Time:

Parade: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Canatara festivities: 11 AM to 4 PM

Centennial festivities: 6 to 10:30 PM (no volunteers required)

The following volunteer positions are available:

Parade Barricade Attendant:

Volunteers are required to be posted at each barricade to communicate the road closure and move the barricade for authorized personnel/emergency vehicles. Must be 18 years of age or older. Volunteers must attend a Parade Info Meeting on June 24 at 6PM at the Strangway Centre. Volunteers will be supplied with a safety vest.

Activity Attendant:

Volunteers will assist Top Shot Hockey staff with the Electronic Net hockey game and Hardest Kick soccer game at the Canatara Park festivities. Roles may include containing the flow of the line and giving participants materials.

Each volunteer shift requires at least one, ideally two, volunteers. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift.
